 The initial consultation/interview is completely free of charge.

 It's a great way to know each other and be on the same page about your expectations or questions about such important moment.

 Initial consultation can be in person or by phone.

 Consultations are held at Well Rounded Momma location.

Advanced Birth Doula (Monitrice) Fees

 The Advanced Doula (Monitrice) fee of services is a flat fee of $1200.

 The first payment (50% of the fee) is due as a retainer deposit at the time of the booking and the second payment is due in full by 36 weeks.

Advanced Doula (Monitrice) Scope of Practice

 A Monitrice  is usually a Doula that has some training and practice in midwifery skills.

A Monitrice can perform some limited clinical skills if requested by the client such as checking blood pressure, vital signs, listening to fetal heart rates during labor and/or perform vaginal exams.

This service is a great addition if you are planning to labor at home as much as possible before going to the hospital.

 

Contract of Services and Availability 

 My current availability is a max of 2-3 doula clients per month at a first come first serve basis.

 To book my services a retainer deposit of 50% of the Doula fee and a signed Doula contract are required.

 Once I receive both 50% deposit and the signed contract, you are booked!

 

Services Included

• 2 prenatal visits 

• Guaranteed Back-up Doula
• 24 hour on call availability during your due date range (2 weeks prior due date)
• Prenatal and early labor support and consultation
• Physical and emotional support during active labor and childbirth, continuing into the immediate postpartum period 
• Ongoing support as needed and extensive referral services

• Limited clinical skills (vital signs, blood pressure, fetal heart tones and vaginal exams) if hired as a Monitrice 

 

Phone & Email Support  

 I will be available 24/7, via email, instant message, text message or cell phone, to answer any questions or concerns. Even if it's 3 o'clock in the morning :) 

 

During labor 

 As a Doula I will provide support from the first signs of labor (by phone or text), join you at your home or hospital when contractions are approximately 5 minutes apart and stay with you throughout the entire labor and birth.

 The birth support consists in providing emotional support, physical comfort measures (including Acupressure) and an objective viewpoint, as well as helping the mother get the information she needs to make informed decisions.

 

Baby’s first feeding Support 

 I will remain 1-2 hours after birth to make sure you and your partner are comfortable and to help establish breastfeeding (if applicable).

 

Postpartum follow-up visit 

 I offer a courtesy postpartum visit to share labor record, birth story and provide breastfeeding support.

 

Antenatal Support / Birth Preparation and Remote Coaching (no in-person Labor Support)

 If you are not interested in the entire Doula package but would like to know more about the process of labor, birth and postpartum, I also offer a 2 hour long private consultation to provide you as much information about birth basics, your birth options, references, local hospital policies, birth plan preparation and more.

 I will be available for follow ups and even remote support *when you are in labor* by phone, text or email to answer any additional questions.

 Consultation, Birth Plan Preparation and Phone/Email Support: $450

Acupressure

 Acupressure care is safe, very effective and beneficial while experiencing pregnancy related discomforts such as morning sickness, hemorrhoids, sciatica and lower back pain. It can also be used during labor as a relaxing and effective comfort measure.

 I will gladly teach you and your partner some specific points that can be very useful during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period.

 

Acupressure is included in my Doula services at 

no additional charge
